DESIGN
It started with blocks of different levels which was flat roof. Take a look at the first proposed design
Further morphed to accomplish some refinement:
The design we thought was perfect, however the subdivision just wouldn't allow it. So we did a morph.
We thought that's symetry that just looks too formal. This should do, however, the owner taste buds was looking for something else. We this is the result:
This was approved and here's the finished product:
Ground Floor Plan:
Second Floor Plan:CONSTRUCTION
Straightforward, except for some delays due to some discussion on setbacks with the subdivision manager. We were stopped for two weeks and had to work our way around and find a solution or work around on the setback rule. FInally we found a similar shape lot and had the same setback measurement. We were able to go ahead and finish the job on schedule. This was a really turnkey project as it also involved landscaping and a purchase of an adjacent lot.
UNIQUE
Incorporating the mediterannean design with modern tropical. The outside is very European while the interiors matched tropical living.
OVERALL
We enjoyed doing this project. The owner was abroad all the time and we presented the schemes through email and posting on our webpage. The whole construction process was left entirely in our hands until it was completed. The owner came home two months after the house was finished. One of the best house design flow we've experienced and it the result of small details being transformed from one flow to another.
